This is the same business in an earlier form as the new version opening in January 2014.

In the past emphasis has been on teaching voice in classical, musical theater, early music,

opera, gospel and jazz and other styles. Also to ready students for auditions including

competitions, college and graduate school. I have taught children from the age of 8 and

adults how to sing healthily with physical balance and freedom, and especially, to have

fun singing! And many of them have gone on to graduate school in music at schools such

as Bard, UC, LSU, NTS and in a variety of competitions, including NATS state and regionals,

Regional MET auditions and to perform leading and compramario roles in local, regional

and European opera and musicals.

Overall position: Teacher of Voice, Song LIterature, Vocal Pedagogy, German Diction, French Diction, Italian Diction, Director of Opera, Vocal Coordinator, Divisional Chair, Curriculum Committee Chair, member of the original committee of faculty, trustees and administration who revised the Mission Statement of Louisiana College in 2007, Coordinator and Author for NASM Accreditation.

I must admit I am guessing at the year of residency. Sang all soprano solos and acted as section leader in the church choir.

Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church

August 1976 – August 1980 (4 years 1 month)Alexandria, LA

Sang all soprano solos and acted as section leader in the church choir and was honored to be the soloist for the ordination of Father Bruce Miller, Ken Matthews and a few other priests.

Hebrew Union College

August 1973 – July 1975 (2 years)Cincinnati, OH

Hired by Bonia Shur, at that time faculty at HUC, for soprano solos at various musical events at the college over the span of the two years I was in residence in Cincinnati. This included premiering some of his compositions in Hebrew.
